Mandy Roussouw School of Community Journalism launches –Internships with KC and NEMISA

During the discretionary grant window last year, NEMISA applied for a number of learnerships and internships from MICT SETA and received approval for 10 learnerships for Radio Production and 5 learnerships for Interactive Media in the Western Cape. The Learnerships kicked off this week at KC 107.7 with some excited students getting introduced into the world of radio. “This is an amazing partnership with NEMISA and we are proud to be hosting the Learners at KC, as they will not only learn, but also get first hand experience on what it is like to work at a radio station ” says KC General Manager Gavin Meiring. The Mandy Rossouw School of Community Journalism hosted by KC 107.7 in Paarl, pays homage to Paarl born respected journalist Mandy Rossouw who passed away in Gauteng in 2013. This space offers a platform for teaching those interested in storytelling and community journalism using a group of established local, national and international Trainers.

KC is proud to launch a partnership with Nemisa providing Bursaries for 15 students to be the first scholars of the Mandy Roussouw School of Community Journalisim at KC 107.7 The interships
