Valcare Celebrates 10 years of Protea’s of The Valley
For the past ten years, Valcare has selected 15 inspiring women as Proteas of the Valley. These fierce
and strong women make a positive difference in their communities.
Proteas of the Valley is a women’s empowerment initiative that honours women who flourish and
flower despite challenging conditions—just like the protea flower.
This initiative aims to give recognition to the women who impact the lives of others for the better.
Throughout Women’s Month in August, Valcare will spotlight the 15 chosen women, showcasing the
good they do.
We invite the public to nominate women from Franschhoek, Paarl, Stellenbosch and Wellington to
become Proteas. The nominations for this year’s campaign are open until 4 July 2022.
